Cedar Road Meats is a State Inspected meat processing plant with Federal Approval

We adhere to strict humane handling guidelines for your animals, high quality sanitation procedures while adhering to our state and federally approved HACCP plan.  Cedar Road Meats is approved for Intrastate Slaughter-this means our customers can ship their products across state lines to restaurants or other USDA facilities. We are one of a few in Wisconsin with this designation. Please schedule your animals for harvesting in advance, we have a limited number of spaces each week.  Butcher day is Fridays, animals must be delivered Thursday between the hours of 9am-4pm, we will not accept late drop-offs or additional animals at drop off.

Call as soon as possible when canceling or re-scheduling an animal for butchering

  • Starting January 1st, 2021, beef harvesting is $100 per animal, all processing is $0.85 /LB on the hanging weight (before cutting) for all half and quarter orders. 

  • Additional charges apply for patties, tenderizing cuts, and sausage products.

  • All beef cutting instructions must be called in to Cedar Road Meats the same week as the animal is brought in -- preferably on Wednesday or Thursday. Beef is cut within 3 weeks of slaughter date. The customer is called as soon as the order is ready for pick up.

  • Pick up custom orders within 7 days after notification to avoid $5/day storage fee charges.

  • Pork harvesting is $55 per animal. Starting Jan. 1, 2021, processing is $0.60 /LB on the hanging weight (before cutting) for whole or half orders. Minimum cutting order on pork is for a half.  There is an additional charge for smoking(for hams & bacon) and for any sausage products, bacon slicing and ground pork.

  • All pork cutting instructions must be called in to Cedar Road Meats by the date the animals are delivered. Pork is usually processed and smoked within a 2 week time frame. All fresh pork cuts are vacuum-packaged and frozen. Smoked hams and bacon require an additional week to process. The customer is called when the complete order is ready for pick up.

  • Pick up custom orders within 7 days after notification to avoid $5/day storage fee charges.

  • Lamb is an inclusive price of harvest and processing. Harvesting and cutting is $100 per animal. Hide disposal is $7 per lamb. Additional charges apply for any sausage products orders.
