Custom Processing
Cedar Road Meats is a State Inspected meat processing plant.
We adhere to strict guidelines for sanitation procedures and our plant is HACCP Certified.
We butcher both beef and pork one day per week. You must schedule your animals for butchering. We have a limited number of spaces each week. Butchering is done on Thursdays, with all scheduled animals being delivered on Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Cancellations
Please call as soon as possible when canceling or re-scheduling an animal for butchering.
Processing Information
Pork
Pork butchering is $28 per animal. Processing is $.36 /LB on the Hanging Weight (before cutting) for whole or half orders. Minimum cutting order on pork is for a half. Smoking is an additional $.60 /LB (for hams & bacon). Additional charges apply for any sausage products made from trimmings.
All pork cutting instructions must be called in to Cedar Road Meats by the date the animals are delivered. Pork is cut the day following butchering. All fresh pork cuts are vacuum-packaged and frozen. Smoked hams and bacon require an additional week to process. The customer is called when the complete order is ready for pick up.
Lamb
Lamb butchering and cutting is $55 per animal. Hide disposal is $5 per lamb. Additional charges apply for any sausage products ordered.
Beef
Beef butchering is $38 per animal. Processing is $.38 /LB on the Hanging Weight (before cutting) for all whole, half, or split side orders. Additional charges apply for patties, tenderizing cuts, and sausage products.
All beef cutting instructions must be called in to Cedar Road Meats the same week as the animal is brought in -- preferably on Wednesday or Thursday. Beef is cut the week following the slaughter date. The customer is called as soon as the order is ready for pick up.
Schedule Animals for Butchering
All animals must be scheduled for butchering. A limited number of spaces are available each week. To schedule your animals for butchering, please call us at 920-625-CUTS (2887).
